Everything You Need to Know

Please reach to me at info@laurenkendall.com.au if you cannot find an answer to your question.

I take deposits via bank transfer at the time of booking. You may pay for the remainder of your appointment via bank transfer or cash.

When you book your appointment, I reserve that time exclusively for you and turn away other enquiries for the same slot. Your deposit reflects that commitment — it comes off your total cost and simply secures your spot in my diary.

As that time is set aside just for you, I'm not able to refund it if plans change.

No, I do not, but I am a part of a beautiful community of hair and makeup artist, so I can give you a list of other artists who can assist on the day if you need hair or an additional makeup artist if the service is a larger group.

Your trial is simply a chance for us to get to know each other and create your perfect look together. There's no obligation to book future appointments with me afterwards — if we're not the right fit, that's completely okay, I want you to feel free to choose whoever feels right for your occasion.

A gentle reminder that a trial doesn't guarantee that your wedding day service will remain available, until you make your non-refundable deposits to secure your date.

Your bridal trial gives us the time to perfect your look together well before your wedding day, so everything feels perfected and familiar when it matters most. It's what helps your morning run smoothly, with a look you've already fallen in love with.

I certainly do, with a fee. A travel fee simply covers the extra time, fuel, and planning that comes with bringing my full kit to you, rather than you coming to my studio. It's calculated based on distance and always confirmed with you upfront, so there are never any surprises on the day. If paid parking is needed, I will include that in my fee.

Yes — having a spacious table to set up my kit makes a genuine difference to how smoothly your appointment runs. A well-lit area with a bit of room to move is all I need to work efficiently and give you my absolute best on the day.

I price each booking based on the occasion it's for, so I ask that you let me know exactly what you're celebrating at the time you book. If the event turns out to be a wedding and this wasn't disclosed at booking, bridal pricing will apply.

I'm always here to provide a warm, respectful experience, and I kindly ask for the same in return. If at any point a client is rude, under the influence, or aggressive towards me, I reserve the right to end the service immediately.

During your appointment I will take before and after photos for our documentation. Once our appointment has concluded, with your blessing, I would love to share it across my website and socials.

Bridal terms and conditions

Securing Your Date

To lock in your wedding date. I simply ask for a 30% non-refundable deposit per person who will be receiving a makeup service on the day. Once that's done, my day is reserved exclusively for you — I turn away other enquiries for that date because I've committed my time entirely to you.

Because I hold your date so exclusively, the full amount we agree on at booking stays payable in full, even if your numbers change, someone in your party can no longer make it, or the booking falls through altogether, however much notice there is. If you'd love to add extra people down the track, I'm always happy to accommodate where I can, simply at the rate current at that time.

Your Trial

Your Bridal Trial is such a special part of the process, and it's priced inclusively into your Bridal Makeup Proposal at $200 for 1.5 hours together. If you'd love a second trial, this will be charged additionally to the initial proposal at $200 per trial.

On the Day

The numbers and total we agree on at booking are what I hold space for, so this stays payable in full even with last-minute changes, no-shows, or anyone in your party stepping back. If there's time on the morning, I'll always try to fit extra people in for you.

Coming to You

For mobile appointments, a travel fee applies based on distance, and I'll always let you know exactly what that is in writing well before your day.

If your location needs paid parking, that's something I'll ask you to cover. I just ask that you have this sorted ahead of time — if it isn't, and I'm given a fine as a result, I'll need you to take care of that for me.

Getting Ready for Me

I'd love for you to arrive with clean, fresh skin. If there's a contagious skin or eye condition present on the day, I may gently need to decline the service, and I'm not able to offer a refund in this situation.

Keeping Your Morning Flowing

Before your big day, we'll sit down together over a call or coffee and map out your full schedule, and I just ask that everyone's ready and waiting at their time so your morning stays calm and on track. If things run significantly behind, it might mean I'm not able to complete every service — and sadly, that's not something I'm able to refund.

My Right to End a Service

I'm always here to provide a warm, respectful experience, and I kindly ask for the same in return. If at any point a client is rude, under the influence, or aggressive towards me, I reserve the right to end the service immediately.

Space to Set Up

To give you the best and most efficient service, I'll need sufficient space to set up my kit properly when working at your location. Having room to work comfortably means I can move through your timeline smoothly, without anything slowing us down.

A Safe Space to Work In

To do my best work for you, I need a safe, comfortably ventilated space to set up in. If conditions on the day become unsafe for me to continue working in, such as excessive heat, I reserve the right to pause or stop the service.

Relocation Fee

Once I've unpacked my kit, set up my lighting, and begun work on the first person of the day, everything is positioned exactly where it needs to be to keep your morning running smoothly. If I'm asked to pack up and relocate to a different room or location after I've already set up, a relocation fee will apply to cover the time this takes, generally 20 minutes or more to pack down and set up again.

Late & Unresponsive Client Fee

I always arrive on time, kit packed and ready to begin. If I'm unable to reach you or your party at our scheduled time, a late fee will begin to apply from that point. If I'm left waiting for more than 30 minutes with no response, I reserve the right to leave the appointment.

If I'm Unwell on Your Wedding Day

Your wedding day means so much to me, and in the unlikely event that illness prevents me from being there myself, I will do everything I can to find another artist with a similar style to complete your booking, at the same price we originally agreed.

Sharing in Your Beautiful Day

I adore celebrating the work I get to do, so with your blessing, I may share photos of your finished look on my portfolio or socials. If you'd rather keep this just between us, simply let me know and I'll make sure you're never featured.

By Booking With Me

By booking in, you're letting me know you've read through this with me and you're happy to move forward together, fees and all included.
