For your foundation to blend seamlessly down to your collarbones and décolletage, I'd love for you to wear a top that gives easy access to that area on the day. Loosely fitted pieces, or anything with buttons or a zip, work best — that way you can get dressed afterwards without knocking your makeup.
If you'd like to bring inspiration photos along, the most helpful ones are of people with similar hair, eye, and skin colouring to your own — it helps me translate the look beautifully onto you.
Well-hydrated skin makes all the difference to how your makeup sits and wears, so keep the water up and stick to a good hydrating skincare routine in the lead-up — your skin (and your makeup) will thank you for it.
Skin needs a little time to recover after waxing, so I always recommend having your brows and face waxed at least two days before your makeup application. This gives any redness or sensitivity time to settle, so your skin is calm, smooth, and perfectly ready for flawless makeup application.
If you're planning to spray tan, I recommend booking this in two days before your event — it gives the colour time to develop and settle beautifully, so you're left with a natural, even glow on the day.
I'd always recommend holding off on any new skincare products in the 4 weeks leading up to your appointment. Your skin can react in unexpected ways to new formulas, so this really isn't the time to experiment — better to stick with what you know works.
